A monthly event supporting neurodivergent
families, including
those with children who are diagnosed with autism, those with expressive
language disorders, those who are developmentally or intellectually
disabled, those who are typical, and more. We will read a few stories and
give patrons a chance to interact with other families. Accommodating materials include diverse
seating (bean bags, rocking chairs, and squishy seats), noise canceling
headphones (patrons are also encouraged to bring their own), dimmed lighting,
fidgets, a sensory break corner, and more. Held in the Library Meeting Room.
Registration required; Heggan cardholders only. Register children only, not caregivers.
