Join Faleeha and Kay for a discussion of their poetry. If you would like to, you can share a poem you wrote, or one that moves you. Kay Peters is a retired Oncology Clinical Registered Nurse Specialist who now volunteers as a Parish Nurse. Her Poems have appeared in Philadelphia Poets, US 1 Worksheets, Schuylkill Valley Journal, Philadelphia Stories and Mad Poets Review. Faleeha Hassan is a poet, playwright, writer, teacher, and editor who earned her master's degree in Arabic literature and has published 25 books, including War and Me: A Memoir. A nominee for both the Pulitzer and Pushcart Prizes, she is the first woman to write poetry for children in Iraq. Her poems have been translated into 20 languages. She has received numerous awards throughout he Middle East. This program is open to all adults. 

Do you want to learn how to knit or crochet?  Join us for a beginner's class with volunteer Flora Bacchues.  Please bring a skein of yarn, and a set of size 8 knitting needles and/or an H or I crochet hook.  This program is open to everyone ages 18 and up.  Advance online or phone registration is required.  

Join us for our chair yoga class where we focus on moving, breathing, building strength & flexibility, and end with relaxation! This class is perfect for all levels of students, including those who are new to yoga, as we use the chair to help balance, support, and challenge us.  **Please wear comfortable clothing that you will be able to move freely in.** This class is limited to Margaret E Heggan cardholders due to its size and popularity. Each month we'll explore our different cultures. Teen leaders will determine the focus culture and the activities we'll explore. Join us to learn about your peers and explore your own background.

It's time for a Teen and Tween Crafting. This month's focus is on bookbinding using a variety of binding techniques! 

Join us for an exciting presentation by the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey about New Jersey's Fish Hawk: The Amazing Osprey. Did you know that in 1974 only 50 Osprey nests were left in New Jersey? Today, Ospreys are a common sight along the New Jersey shore during the summer. Learn about the amazing life history of ospreys, current monitoring techniques, and their amazing comeback. Ben Worst, Senior Wildlife Biologist with Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey will share his experience working to manage this amazing species over the past 15+ years.
