How did a form of African American, rural folk songs become the basis for a musical industry that has lasted decades?
This presentation by John Paul Groom will review African American contributions to music culture and highlight the development of the Blues in the Mississippi Delta, as well as discuss some of the myths and legends. The post WWII development of electric musical instruments and the early relationship between radio and TV, and more will also be covered.
